One of common ways to start a project is make a duplicate copy of the project source folder. However if you are using CVS for source code managment, it would copy all the CVS related folder also which are no longer relevant to the new project. So in order to get rid of these you can use the following command from the terminal.

Cd into the new project folder ex.cardplus, find all CVS files/folders and remove them.

mymac:cardplus mvohra$ find . | grep CVS | xargs rm -rf {}

Now you can import the whole folder/project back into CVS.
