Solution The plist for you application is located under the Library/Preference folder of your application inside the iPhone simulator application folder structure. The path to all the applications in he iPhone simulator is. /Users/[your user name]/Library/Application Support/iPhone Simulator/User/Applications Underneath this there will be a bunch of application GUID, one for each app. The first step is to find the GUID for your app. Ex. my app name is ljcas so change the name to ljcas while executing the below command. find . -name ./0528A637-6060-4B56-A7C4-68A84CC12C14/ Then go to the Library/Preferences directory in the GUID directory. So: cd 0528A637-6060-4B56-A7C4-68A84CC12C14/Library/Preferences You should find a file that looks like: [Bundle Identifier].appname.plist Where Bundle Identifier is you app bundle indentifier string. This plist file is a text file that can be edited or view in any text editor. Example : The plist file for an application with bundle identifier com.infuzemobile.ljcas would be com.infuzemobile.ljcas.plist mymac:Preferences mvohra$ cd - /Users/mvohra/Library/Application Support/iPhone Simulator/5.0/Applications mymac:Applications mvohra$ ls -lt total 0 drwxr-xr-x  6 mvohra  staff  204 Nov  9 00:14 0528A637-6060-4B56-A7C4-68A84CC12C14 drwxr-xr-x  6 mvohra  staff  204 Nov  3 13:47 B2019E12-B0EE-4DED-AB95-FBA81B17B106 drwxr-xr-x  6 mvohra  staff  204 Nov  3 11:08 4BF7B09E-C426-435B-8EC3-06CFF20BF1DD drwxr-xr-x  6 mvohra  staff  204 Oct 31 23:46 05A5A2A3-B435-478F-ACC6-61E8FC551916 mymac:Applications mvohra$ cd 0528A637-6060-4B56-A7C4-68A84CC12C14/Library/Preferences/ mymac:Preferences mvohra$ ls -lt total 16 -rw-------  1 mvohra  staff  594 Nov  9 23:34 com.infuzemobile.ljcas.plist lrwxr-xr-x  1 mvohra  staff  111 Nov  9 23:29 -> /Users/mvohra/Library/Application Support/iPhone Simulator/5.0/Library/Preferences/ mymac:Preferences mvohra$
